Comentario del broker
Here we have a Twin Diesel Broom 30 from circa 1979. This boat was bought and surveyed in September 2024 by the current owner. However, a sudden and serious injury means they can no longer use the boat which is very sad.
The boat is generally well presented and just in need of a clean following the winter. She has twin Perkins engines that appear to start and run as they should.
She is in original gelcoat and is a smart looking craft with classic lines and that useful raised aft deck area with safety rails and dodgers.
She can sleep 6 and all her upholstery appears to be in good order. She has a forward twin cabin with its own heads compartment and good storage. The centre wheelhouse and saloon are comfortable but there is a small area of water damaged wood by the starboard side window which is very common to these boats, but is a simple repair and is purely cosmetic. The seating in the center saloon converts to a double berth. Over the saloon is a galleon style pitched large glass hatch which lets in loads of light and is a nice feature.
Moving aft we pass through the mid galley with ample workspace and storage with sink fridge and cooker. Adjacent to the galley is the second heads with basin and shower. Lastly, aft is the large twin cabin with dresser.
The boat has hot water and warm air heating fitted and her boat safety certificate runs to March 25. The survey is available to the new owner and a mooring is also possible by discussion with the marina.
She was last out of the water for anodes and antifouling in October 24 and has just had her 240v system replaced following the survey and a galvanic isolator fitted. The survey also advised starter cable to be replaced, and this too has just been done as has the heater mounting and lagging and the gas valves, all as per survey.
The owners were planning extensive use after all this work to survey etc. and it is a shame that life has suddenly taken a difficult turn for them. That all means that the new owner has a lot of work to benefit from with this classic cruiser.
The boat is offered at a very competitive price.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: very close offers on the asking price may be considered.
